No, it's not the mom. She was a very good mama last year so I thought I'd let her have another batch this year. She's doing great this year with all the cold and rain we're getting, she's keeping them warm and fed.

Cool! One of my hens likes to bite feathers off chicks so I let her hatch em then I put em in the chick box
