I really like the color of blue-laced red wyondottes. What would be the best way to try and get that color in OEGs? I was thinking of getting a BLRW hen and crossing her with my blue red OEG rooster but from what I've read the rose comb is dominant and hard to breed back out. Would a silver laced OEG crossed with a blue-red work or does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I would start with a Golden Laced Old English instead of Silver.Cross with Blue rooster to bring in the gene.Go from there.See how your golden color comes in.You may need to bring in a red OEGB to darken that golden into red.I had been working on it,but lost my project birds to predator and just gave up. Right now I'm working on a blue laced silver OEGB.Have eggs in the bator now,so we'll see how they start. Also have a Golden Barred Project coming out good so far.I'll get pics up soon as I can.
I only know a couple other people that have them, I bought one of them out recently...I have a trio for sale....I have a few more pics on my website www.hiddencanyonpoultry.webs.com
