Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

ok, well, the swap went well for all the birds i took. except the oegb... had people trying to talk me out of them for next to nothing. nope. if i can't get at least $5 a bird, i'll keep them. so they'll stay for a while. until someone makes a better offer.

so they went into one of my breeding pens when i got home a bit ago. 2 roos 3 pullets. I think it might take a day or 2 for 1 of the pullets to stop bullying the younger 2 girls. at least the roos get along great. so once the girls start laying I'll try hatching some. see what i get out of the pen.

Anyone know what color my young rooster is? When he was a baby he had chipmunk stripes and I called him Peanut. Now he's got a brown color on him. Sorry if the pictures didn't capture the way he looks very good, he was wiggling in my hand.

Hello, I am new here. A couple of days ago I was searching through the farm and garden section of Craigslist and came across a woman who was selling "seramas". After buying a pair of hens from her and posting pictures to this site I have come to realize that they may not be seramas at all. I believe that they Are OEGB, but am inexperienced and would like input from those who know the breed. What do you guys think of them? Are they indeed OEGB? Are they eight weeks old like the woman said? What quality are they (I have seen better posture from them then what is pictured)? I really know very little about this breed so any and all critiques are greatly appreciated. Apparently this website doesn't like iPads because it won't let me upload pictures. Here's the link to the pictures I posted in the American serama thread. Can't wait to hear from you all because although they may not be the pet quality seramas I thought they were, they may be OEGB of better quality. They really are pretty birds. Thanks in advance! :D

I am not familiar with Seramas, but from what I have seen in pictures they have a very upright stance and incredibly short backs. Yours look a lot more like OEGBs to me. I'm pretty confident that your darker one may be a Brown Red. The lighter one may be a Ginger Red or maybe a Quail? I'm not sure on her. Either way they are definitely very pretty little pullets and OEGBs are really fun little birds with loads of personality.
