I have a Roadking, and my S.O. rides a Superglide that we lowered so she can reach the ground. We are just starting up our coop also. Got the floor built, putting up walls this week. Wasn't going to do it till spring, but no better time than the present..Good luck with your project.........

did you lower the rear with shorter shocks? or did you move the shock mounts? or switch to a different older style swingarm? if you lowered with 11 inch shocks it will ride hard. better to do one of the other methods in rear & use 12 inch progressive shocks. I been down that road before. also the wearing away of the inner primary with the chain because of being too low.
for the front several methods but best being using shorter down tubes with shorter springs & adding spaces under springs if necessary to get stiffer ride or playing with different fluid velocities.
I worked in a custom independent Harley shop working on older bikes for 13+ years.
I have been looking over the posts & have got a few new ideas for a coop my biggest concern is there isnt any flat land, well at bottom of mountain in back yard but I dont want to hike that a couple times a day so the coop will have to be built on side of mountain in a area that isnt too steep. my house is on top of a mountain with relatively steep hills on front & back & sides semi steep but not wide enough for anything. my driveway is so steep the gas delivery driver spins going up driveway in summer when there hasnt been any rain. UPS, & FED-EX refuse to drive up & hike up nearly a 1/4 mile driveway to leave any packages.
I also dont have grass, no mowing just weedeater around driveway & im good I am surrounded by big trees & they keep weeds & grass from growing to any signifigance the biggest place is the middle hump of driveway & the dirt is extremely rocky. has much pebbles, rocks, stones, fairystones, etc. the acorns & the hickory nuts finally stopped falling hitting the house last week.
so I hope things will be ok? as for what kind of chickens I am thinking of rode island reds for a good brown egg but unsure of what to get for white egg layers as I see there are soo many & I dont know what I am looking at.
I know I may want to go beyond chickens eventually, ducks, & turkeys, guineas are a few I am thinking of I am not looking to get into for a profit just to raise for my own food & to start eating healthier. & I thinks it helps that I am a butcher by profession.. lol
