Hello! Any help will be very appreciated!

I'm right next to you in Massachusetts.... Watch for water freezing over night!!!!! I walk out new water every morning when I open up the coop. Than on 5 degree days, if I'm home.. I check again mid day. And when I get home from work... They will chip through thin ice that forms on top, to get to thawed water in the middle, but not if the whole bowl freezes. I dont use electric out at my coop or run.
Will do! It has been pretty cold at night. Nothing is ran out there currently there is a possibility of electricity.

Oh you're in trouble now! That's how it all starts...next thing you know you're going to have to add some ducks and geese to the flock! 🥰😍
Welcome to BYC! Lots of great advice for you on their care, so just have fun doing it!
Thanks for joining!!

*Don't say you weren't warned about the waterfowl 🤭

Hi! Welcome! It is so nice of you to take on these hens. It's obvious you really care about doing it right, and that's what tells me you will do a great job! I don't have a lot of tolerance for predators, so I don't free range here. But, my chickens are not 100% safe either, as their run is large and only covered with bird netting. We each have to decide what we are comfortable with. I agree that chickens love having a lot of space to roam. It enriches their lives, so I take this small risk.
