So sorry for your loss. As you have discovered free ranging is a risk you take. I do have nice large covered pens for my birds and there are plenty of ways to entertain them. The hawk will be back. I have also had issues with young Bald Eagles that don't have their white heads and tails yet but look like big hawks. Good luck...
