I'm new to BYC. We were given several free chickens from a neighbor two years ago. We think they are mixed or maybe Easter Eggers as the hens lay blue, green and yellow eggs. 1 hen looks like a Barred Rock and lays brown eggs. This spring we bought 10 Red Comet chicks from the Co Op. We also have a small flock of Toulouse Geese.

We live in Middle TN.

Hi @Pistonfreddy! We are so happy to have you here at BYC! :welcome

Sounds like you have a pretty clutch of eggs every morning! I can only hope my EEs will lay beautiful colors when they start!

I hope you will enjoy being on BYC! Check out this link! It has the most recent version of all things BYC! It will help you to learn the ways of BYC... Posting, commenting, etc. etc.

Thanks, Chatty! Yes the eggs are very pretty. The EE hens recently stopped laying - probably due to the season change. The Red Comets are still going strong so we have plenty of nice brown eggs to go round.

Hopefully, egg laying will pick back up again soon! Enjoy the rest of your day!
