Hello BYC from Tulsa

Hi. Glad to join up - I've been a closet "guest" for a couple of years. Last spring I finally broke down and bought 3 baby pullets. Two Australorps and a Barred Rock - became wonderful backyard pets and good egg layers.

Despite my efforts my two favorite hens have succumbed to hawk and fox, and I'm down to one lonely city cluck. She has been invited to move to the country with a new flock. I start over next month, having learned a bit more about leaving city clucks outside unattended.

Anyway, looking forward to building a new coop and getting more peeps!

I'm glad you're not giving up with chickens. A lot of raising them is trial and error; I'm sure you've learned a lot so far -- and I know you'll learn so much more as a member here!

When I think of Tulsa, I don't think of a hawk or fox in a backyard. Are you in a typical suburb?
My sister lived in Tulsa before moving to Bixby.
