I'm a fairly new chicken and duck mama. I started with 2 cayuga ducks about 2 years ago, then my neighbors chicken laid an egg in my ducks pen and my love for chickens was sparked!
I found myself at Tractor supply to buy duck feed and ended up leaving with 4 caramel queen chicks! And my flock continues to grow.
I have a rooster that lays on eggs along with one hen that he chose from the flock. As crazy as it sounds, it's even crazier to witness! I attached a photo of my roo, Batman protecting his egg! He and his hen have already hatched 9 others! I guess he's one in a million?
Just a side note about me. I also breed and raise cockatiels, green cheek conures and lovebirds! Thus the name Crazy bird lady!
