Hi all! I'm Ashley! My husband and I just built a coop--found a pic on pinterest of one we liked then made it to our plans and specifications! We now have 5 hens. 1 black silkie and 4 Rhode Island Reds. Looking forward to getting lots of advice and info from you all!

Your silky may be the odd one out, I don't know if they could manage a ramp that long(high) with their crests and beards obscuring their vision. Silkies can jump and hop but, they aren't regarded as fliers.
