I've had chickens for 2 years now. I took over my father's flock when he was not able to care for them anymore. Since them I've learned a lot about chickens and chicken math. My flock has gone from 8 birds to 31 and still growing. I plan on stopping at 40. I have a variety of breeds and now some barn yard mixes and E.Es. I'm hatching out some Black Chocolate Marans soon. Then I'll have all the different colors of eggs. I love all my birds and try not to have favorites but I do. They have the most wonderful personalities. Most days I prefer my ladies to my man.
