Hi everyone
I’m not only new here I’m also totally new to raising chickens. We have a neighbor that does this and he ended up giving us a baby rooster and chicken when we displayed interest. Well, we fell in love instantly. Not too long after, our other neighbors across the way (They are from Africa) were having a gathering and had guinea. Two of them flew in our yard and haven’t left. This was months ago and they never left. So we had a rooster, a chicken and a male and female guinea. Our hen started laying eggs and became broody. We now have two more little chicks. Then, our neighbor was preparing to move, so he gave us three more chickens. That now brings us to 9 birds. I’m overwhelmed, but happy. They’re all amazing. We love them. So I hope tou will understand that I have MANY questions on both types of birds. I don’t even know what breed my chickens are. So, thanks for welcoming me to your group and thanks in advance for any help you can throw my way. BTW, One chick was hatched by mama hen and the other one was hatched by us in an incubator.
