Hello!! I am very excited to be in this group now! It sure does beats goggle! I have 8 girls! 2 EE 2 SLW 2 RIR 2 BSL!! 2 of my girls have started laying! The eggs are so little! Any feedback for when these chicken eggs with become normal size? Thanks for tha info!

Eggs can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to become normal sized and regular.

Hi and welcome to BYC! Sounds like you have a fun flock! At first, pullets lay smaller eggs and occasionally eggs that are oddly shaped or with no shell. This is just their systems getting accustomed to laying. As they get older, the eggs will be 'normally' sized and they will lay more regularly. Thanks for joining us!

I'm actually going through the same thing as you are. I do have a couple that have started to get larger, but what's up with those other three? Yep, some take their time.
