I am new to raising poultry and I have four ducks. Three I raised from ducklings and are now 16 weeks old. Still babies. This other one I got bought from a farmer. They are all Appleyards. I decided to get ducks because we have a small pond on our property and I have had duck eggs and liked them a lot. I hope to get more soon since my son is building me a bigger duck house! I found BYC online when I first got my ducklings and my daughter started posting. I recently created an account.
I am a wife, mom of 6, grandma of 1, and public school teacher. Besides ducks, I like reading, crochet, fitness, playing games w/family, and playing flute and guitar.

BYC is a helpful site providing all of the information you need to know about poultry. There is always space for members on the BYC roost!
Hopefully your son will further the progress of getting that duck house built. Purchasing any kind of poultry is something that you just can't be patient for.
