Here is a few pics of "the crew" the conure is Diego (the love of my life) got him in 2015 off craigslist he at 6 months old the dude charged me 650$ i knew it was too much but I had to have him. Hes been my buddy ever since! A cpl pics are from when nell just hung out n would go into his coop at night, but after almost losing him to a fox and a hawk i decided he would have to stay in the coop and extended his little yard, hes a awesome rooster though! Ive always rooted for the underdog, the weirdos, maybe a lil different than the norm and these guys were meant to be with me❤❤❤

How is Nell disabled?

Hi Dobielover, nell had his leg ran over with a tractor coop when he was just a few weeks, this caused his leg to bend at a 90 degree angle, he had belonged to a neighbor who mentioned to my hubby that he would be culling him due to his leg, i had become friends with nell becuz he would hop on over to our yard and sit with me while I gardened and during cookouts so when I found this out i drove right over and took him, he was about 8 months at this point, i took him to my avian vet and was told it had healed that way surgery would've done more harm then good and had he been seen immediately after it could've easily been repaired so since he didn't seem to be in pain and gets around pretty awesome with it plus he also has movement in the foot and uses it ( its the funniest thing watching him try to dust bathe) but he does everything he sees bess and fussi do and it warms my heart , so we chose not to have his leg rebroken. We went on to build special ramps to accommodate him and he truly loves life, hes a great guy and I feel blessed to have him

I have a little Wyandotte pullet that has a congenitally messed up leg. She limps around and is smaller than the others but I believe she also values her life. She’s become a bit of a character and when a falcon attacked one of our quail she was the one giving all of the alarm calls.
