Hi

Im new to this..I have 8 two-week old chicks that I am totally in love with. I purchased them from my local feed store. They received them in the mail, I've had them for a little over a week now. I do not know what kind they are...they vary in color. Some are yellow some are light brown and some have black with brown stripes.

You'll learn lots being here. I was in the same place as you a year ago. If you ask the feed store they'll probably be able to tell you the types of birds you brought home. Enjoy the babies they grow up really quickly!

thanks...I will ask them, I've learned so much in the last hour since being on here not to mention in the last week just keeping them. Im trying to find a more permanent living quarter for them. Do you know how long before I can move them to a coop? And does the type of bird make any difference on raising them?
