Hello, I'm Ashley from Ohio, thank you all for such a great forum!!!!

I'm a first time chicken owner (thanks to my hubby) we have 8 "white chicks" (leghorn) that we got in April 2017.

I'm a first time chicken owner (thanks to my hubby) we have 8 "white chicks" (leghorn) that we got in April 2017.

Congratulations! I'm also Ohio! We just started back up with batmas, two full sized hens and a blue runner duck! They all started to lay this week! So far 8 eggs!

Americana,one white silkie,cinnamon,black star, Peking duck,and Rhode island red. My husband gave them away when I got a job at the post office! So I quit the post and now im a homemaker! Lol!

Hi Ashley and welcome to BYC !! congrats on getting your chickens! if you're near Columbus the second weekend in November the National Poultry Show is there at the fairgrounds.
it's absolutely fantastic! thousands and thousands of chickens in their cages. beautiful chickens! you can wander up and down the aisles .you can buy things for your chickens from the vendors. it's a real 3 day experience. it's usually the weekend of November 10th 11th or 12th .but you can check online.
