Hello everyone! I need temperature help for my hovabator!

I have "aired" it out some, decreased the temp, and it is hanging right around 99-100. Can't ask for any better than that.
Thanks everyone.

That's great! Now don't touch it!

I incubate dry - it stays around 20% with no water in there. I'll get it up to 60-65% from day 18 -21 (for chicken eggs).

Good luck!

Aloha,

My Hovabator was at 106 degrees and I couldn't make it go any lower. After two days, I figured out that the fan was producing the heat. So I have to send for a replacement fan and do my next incubation with still air. feel your fan if it is warm. This may be a source of temperature problems.

that fan is not the problem,, It alone could not produce enough heat to run the incubator..
what kind of thermostat do you have ? is it a solid state one ? or is it a wafer ?

was your incubator set where it could be hit by sunlight ?

I cannot help you any further until you answer these questions..
