Hello everyone, my name is Orpha, yes like the "Orphintons chickens. Lol

I landed on this site while following a link to "Call ducks", after reading a few messages I decided that I should join the forum. I am a newbie to raising chickens, I have nine Orphintons and two salt and pepper one, I can't recall the bred, they are petite compared to the Orphintons. The young ladies are 5 months old, but they already sound like they are going to be complainers. My girls should start laying their first eggs by February, I hope!

WELCOME! Sounds like you have some talkers already. Just wait until they start complaining when they want that certain nest box...that all of the others want too...when there's another 5 they could go to! So, sometimes they end up sharing.
