Hello everyone, new from Australia

I highly recommend Coronation Sussex as long you don't mind them going broody, last year the best one went broody three times, which I love as we wanted chicks. However the Speckled Sussex isn't fully grown yet but she's rather small, I don't know how big she'll end up.
I'm v comfy with broodies. The hens at my house are more like pets than livestock, so I've no objection to them taking a break from laying to dream about chicks for a while.

I hope my next few additions will be hatched by one of the hens on my neighbour's eggs (they've got an Australorp rooster with red hybrid and light sussex hens) but if that doesn't work out I'll go looking for a trio of sussex pullets.
