Hello everyone! Two beginners here in Midcoast Maine!

The confirmation email came yesterday around 8pm eastern time. We figured it would take until at least Friday for the babes to arrive. I got out of work today and DH was there to rush me home. The lil ones have arrived this afternoon around 1pm!!!! DH was a bit nervous because one had a red mark that he thought was blood but upon discovering the shipping paperwork the male was marked prior to shipping. They even sent us an extra female!! We are the proud new parents of 25 females and 1 roo dominique chicks!!! Here is the best picture I could take at the moment!! EEEEK!! We are such worried hens haha. When they take their little naps they look like they aren't doing okay, but then all of a sudden they hop up and scurry around again reassuring us all is well!!! They took well to their food and water instantly and seem to be settling in quite comfortable!!

Here are the lot of them! All 26 doing well on their first day!!

Congratulations on the new chicks! Wonderful that everybody arrived safely, that was a fast trip. They are so cute aren't they. That resting posture they have where they stretch out their little necks and lay flat makes you do a double take doesn't it, keep wanting to poke them to be sure they are OK.

Oh my I do a double take every time and I cant help but put my hands in their house to give them a nudge!

M seems to have the mama hen maternal instincts. I'll admit in very jealous. I suppose it's due to his being home more often than I can be. They are growing up so fast!
