Hello Everyone

Hi my name is Kevin and I am new to this website and also new to raising chickens in my backyard. I currently have 11 Rhode Island Red straight run chickens that are 6 weeks old. I have a 4' x 6' x 6' coop and a 7' x 8' x 8' run and we let the chickens run free when we are home. If anyone has any tips for me I will gladly take any help I can get.

Hi Kevin, nice to meet you. The best tip I can think of is to replace any flimsy chicken wire with 1/2" hardware cloth. Chicken wire only keeps chickens IN, it does nothing to keep predators OUT. Hope you will enjoy Backyard chickens as much as we do.
