I joined here today and am fired up about hatching eggs. I live in south Alabama, am a retired physician, have been a hobbyist for years, raised Gouldian finches, sail, travel. I hope to breed specific breeds and have begun raising Bresse chickens. Looking to breed Black Copper Marans, Cream Legbar, California Whites, Welsummers and well, who knows what. I have a small 5 acre farm and keep busy as I have ever been More later.

Has anyone had a problem with rats? Poison, traps, trash cans for feed. What more do I need to do?
