I'm glad to be able join you here on back yard chicken's. I started with 4 little banty roosters. They slowly whittled down to 1. Moe who is Caroline's pet, our 1yr old labs playmate. Have a great video of them playing. Our flock now has reached 54 hens, another Rooster we named him "Herbert" most of the hens have been named as well. Still learning as we go, suffered some losses initially, none recently
My flock is free range, fed organic feed, and they love blackberries, Strawberries, for some reason I find them in the Rhubarb patch all the time. They did manage to fly over the fence and plunder my neighbors vegetable garden. Built a higher fence, cut off all branches up to14ft line. The flock are pets who give us eggs. Any advice, tips comments are greatly appreciated.
