Hi guys, I am a new member and thought I would introduce myself. I have read threads on Backyard Chickens for several years, but just bit the bullet tonight ! We have a chicken egg farm in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We have had chickens for 7 years and recently expanded our farm this last year. We currently have 500 laying hens and sell to several local grocery stores. In addition to our flock of chickens we have 6 Nigerian dwarf Pygmy goats (soon to get 3 more nigerian dwarfs). We have 2 horses, 2 mini donkeys, 30 sheep, 3 cows, 3 barn cats, and a house dog. Oh and a parakeet 😊 I am very excited to continue to learn more about chickens. My current project is going to be starting to ferment and sprout grain for the chickens so if anyone has experience in that I would love tips!! (HAD to include pic of one of the adorable baby goats we had this spring!)

Thank you for the advice!

great to see your flock, free range it appears to me. My small flock of 5 soon to be 11, will have to go back in the pen. I am planning a pen 30 ft by 24 ft. The roosters crowing, I am very lucky. Both Neighbors, Left and right, go to work at 7:00am. I need to increase coop, and maybe try to sound proof it at the least. I can't wait to post pictures, once I figure out how, and when they are done moulting. They are not looking their best. I liked your pictures, I will take Mr grumpy's advise to use another camera setting. I had chickens 40 years ago, and thrilled to have a small flock again. Ellie in FL and welcome
