Thank you! I updated my profile pic with a picture of my coop. The run will be left of the coop in the picture. The tree is not part of the run. The ground doesn't look sloped in that picture, but you can see it in the attached picture.Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.

Hi, welcome to BYC! It's nice to meet you.I'm new to the group and look forward to interacting with everyone!
We retired last year to Tennessee and absolutely love it here. I have always wanted critters, but lived in the city all my adult life. Now I can fulfill my dream. We live on 19 hilly acres in middle Tennessee.
I don't have chickens - yet. Our coop was delivered last month, we added a cute little deck and hardware cloth around the bottom of the coop to keep critters out. Our next project is the run which, because of our unlevel ground and crazy roof lines on the coop, has us scratching our heads as to exactly how to build it. We will figure it out. I plan to start with a few chickens (I do know about chicken math - lol) and add more in the coming years. I am interested in Rhode Island Reds, Speckled Sussex, and Orpingtons, among many others. I also plan to add guinea fowl to the family for tick control and amusement.
See you around the forum!
