Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Will you be processing the Cornish crosses yourself?
My partner is going to do the processing, I bought him a book on it for Christmas, Butchering Chickens by Storey Publishing. He's going to be in charge of the meat chickens, and I'm going to be in charge of the egg chickens! We're going to help each other of course, but each of us is taking the lead on one of them!

Howdy, :frow and Welcome to Backyard Chickens.

Happy :ya to have you here with us. Enjoy your time here at BYC!

Thanks for joining our community! :celebrate
Welcome to BYC
Hello and Welcome to BYC. Thanks for joining this fun and poultry loving community.

Thanks! I've wanted to keep chickens for years and I've finally moved somewhere I can, so I'm thrilled. I'm currently working on a coop design and it's tough to figure everything out!

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Here is our Learning Center, full of articles about raising chicks and chickens and you might find a few helpful in there.

We also have a Coop Forum where thousands of members have documented their building of their coop. Some have better instructions than others but there are so many great ideas there!

Good luck with your new adventures with chicken keeping!
