(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My family had chickens when i was younger! Now im moved out and decided to start my own little flock!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
12 total! 10 little dudes and 2 adults.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Currently an Ayami Cemani hen, a Silky cross Roo, two Black Star, two Conchin, a Blue Sumatra, a silver or gold Phoenix, and maybe Easter Eggers or Rhode Island Reds. Not 100% sure yet!

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love watching them hang around and do chicken things. There isn't a whole lot I don't love about chickens besides the poop!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Art, crafts, cooking, some video games, and very mild gardening!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Two very sweet kitties and some isopods!
I work for a local shop making fun stuff!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've only recently learned about it! Was posting a little on the reddit but I keep coming back here so I figured I make an account for more questions and interactions!

Heya! I actually started raising them just because I think they are cool! I've had a few different species for a little over 3 years now. They are good for cleaning up leftovers chickes won't eat and making rich compost. I have some called Dairy Cows that are great for bone collecting.
They might be good treats to be honest! I'm not sure I'd offer my rarer species to them.
