Hi, I'm new here

I decided to join because I wanted to learn more about chickens. I have had chickens all my life, but my sister took care of that aspect of the farm, so I figured I'd make sure I was well rounded with all of the animals

I am a 23 year old newlywed, and we live on my families farm. Right now we have around 7 chickens left, after fighting with an awful raccoon that decimated our flock :-/ We did have around 20 I believe. But we caught the culprit and he's gone now. I am hoping to build the flock back up in the spring, and came here to get some opinions and do some research on some good breeds. Look forward to talking to you all!
