I currently have 1x14 week old Easter Egger/Silkie cross, 2x3 week old Ameracuna/silkie cross, 1x3week old road island red/? cross, 3x2week old road island red/? cross. This is what I was told when I got them as to the accuracy of breeds....?......I'm new at this so I can't tell the difference. Lol. My main purpose is egg laying right now. But, as I can see my 14 week old (he/she?) is turning out to be a pretty bird, I may venture into hatching eventually..........
I have been reading a huge amout of helpful information from this site for the past week and I can see there are a lot of chicken smart people here. So I decided to join! Hope to learn a lot and hopefully give input back as I learn.
