! Please be easy on me as have lots to learn! I don't have chickens, but I do have 1 Pekin duckling and 1 Khaki Campbell duckling. One last thing, I can't edit my signature, is there a way to do it?

If you mean you want to change your user name, I think a moderator can do that for you. Usually they monitor this thread.
 
I'm fine with my user name, just the signature I want to change. When I look at the drop down box under my name, it says 'edit my signature'. When I click it, it says I can't do it. You know how the bottom of your reply has

My guess is that this is something that will be possible when you gain a certain amount of posts(?)

That is correct. As you participate more on the forum the system will allow you to do more things, such as review stuff, create a signature, post links to outside sites, create classifieds in the BST section etc.
