I'm a brand new addition to this forum.
I just started with chickens last year. I must say they are definitely interesting critters. I allow to them to free range all day now that they are big enough to get around. I have araucanas, Rhode Island reds and buff orpingtons. 2 of my 18 pullets turned into roosters. One of them, sadly, had to be dispatched due to eating eggs. I'll be raising some Cornish x and ?? this year. I was going to pick up some barred rocks because I think that they're so pretty. Thanks to this forum, I found that they may not be a good fit for my current flock. I'm picking them up on Saturday from the local grange. Im leaning towards Australops, Plymouth Rocks or New Hampshires. Any suggestions? I'm excited to be part of this group.
Happy chickening.
