Hello, My name is Morgan and I'm a chicken addict. It started just a couple weeks ago at the beginning of chick season. We decided that we wanted to add chickens to the homestead and thats how it all began. But we now have 3 barred rock chicks , 3 RIR, 3 Amera- kindas(probably Easter Eggers) and 3 Olive eggers, plus 12 cornish cross, 2 turkeys ( one broad brested bronze and and 1 white) the broze is Thelma and is my husbands pride and joy. 1 random rooster we were gifted (he's a jerk so we will see how long he last) and 5 ducks .
we had 6 but apparently some of our other ducks are murderers, but they are named Jekyll and hyde so we can't really expect any less from them.

other than all these birds we also have 8 goats. 3 Nubians, 2 Nigerian dwarfs, 1 myotonic and 2 rescues from the closing of Bonnie Springs . I think one is Nigerian but not quite sure what the other is.

We also have a 3 year old BLM burro, 3 dogs, 3 cats and a fish. Welcome to the funny farm. Lol

So far the chicks have been a TON of work. But I think it will all be very rewarding once we start to get meat and eggs!

So far my favorite chick is the silver one, I think she is so pretty. ( pic attached)

Like most in order to run my farm I have a full time job ( plus a commute to get there!) I dream of the day where I can run the ranch Full time. #goals
