Welcome to BYC! This is a great community with lots of support and advice.

May I make a suggestion in that you might think about keeping breeds other than ISA Browns and Leghorns, as they are bred to pump out lots of eggs and as a result, die young from reproductive issues. My first four girls were ex-battery ISA Browns and I’ve lost three in less than three years. I now look for breeds that are longer-lived as they are our pets and the eggs have become secondary. They are so funny with their quirky little personalities and are very endearing. I wish you well on your chicken journey!
