Hello fellow chicks

I currently have 4 Peking ducks, one which is a drake, and 1 chicken who thinks she's a duck. She lays her eggs with the ducks and naps with the ducks. She had other chickens to hang out with but they jumped the fence and got killed by my dog The ducks will be 2 in the spring.

My drake has been limping for a few weeks and I'm not sure what to do. His leg is swollen. No bumble foot as far as I can tell. I'm thinking a deeper pool might help.

Anyways, I love my duck eggs, rarely eat the one chicken egg I get a day!

Sorry for your loss. Does the drake have an injury? Sometimes ducks have walking problems due to niacin deficiency but, I don't think that would cause swelling. Please post on the "duck thread." they really know what they are talking about.

Yes, they used to have a ramp on one side but they still jumped out all around it. I'm about to get a new pool, a Take 2 sandbox. Will put some steps around it.
