I just discovered this nice friendly Michigan thread.
Hi there! We just started raising chickens this year and (my first time ever but my husband had them as a kid). They are so much fun and crack me up all the time. I love when they put their head down and run / waddle towards you when they think you have something.
I went and got all red sex linked because we are in a neighborhood and I didn't want to take a chance on getting a roo. They are nearing 4 months old and I think getting close to laying! Well I am assuming from everything I've read (redder waddles, squating, checking out the coop) (hopefully over the next few weeks) Yesterday they were sooo noisey. Louder than I've ever heard them before.
Anyway, I'm happy to meet you all.
