The frost bitten part will fall off eventually (self amputation).

Yes the swelling will go down, but the injured part will fall off so his wattles will be “shorter”.
okay! will they be noticeably shorter? I guess I'm just asking if he will still have large enough waddles to show. we were planning on 4H fair and national poultry show. I'm guessing he can continue to be bred because it's not genetic.

I’m really not sure, I’ve never had a bird with frostbite. Perhaps someone else will post a before and after?
You could still breed him, he’ll make pretty babies 🥰

It really depends on how much damaged tissue he has. Only time will tell on how short the wattle will be. He will probably do fine at a 4H fair but not a national poultry show (as in his wattle size not being correct for the SOP, he may do good for over all though) . I've never shown my birds so I have no experience if a judge will take in account that he has had frostbite.
