I just realized that I have been doing this for eight months and I have not introduced myself yet!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I raised my first batch for a relative in Fall 2018. Sadly, they are mostly gone since he free-ranges them. I got my own chickens in September 2019.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 13 laying hens and 4 chicks, 17 in all
(3) What breeds do you have? I have three Barred Rocks, three Rhode Island Reds, three White Leghorns, three ISA Browns, one Americana, and four assorted bantams.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love the entertainment aspect. My family likes the eggs best!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I like sewing, reading, and being outside!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have four rabbits as well as the chickens.
