Hello fellow Texans

Thanks. Good luck with yours also. I'm kind of scared. Hope I'm doing everything right. I keep reading information on how to do this. Tomorrow is day seven.

Thanks! I'm in the same boat as you! This is my first hatch with a diy incu. and I'm so worried that the temp in my room will like drop real low when I'm not home. So far everythings great, I got antsy and I candled two of my test run eggs and there is life so I must be doing something right! I'm using the "dry hatch method". Tomorrow, on day 7, will be their first weigh in.

Day 19. Off the turner and guess what I already have a chick hatched. So exciting.

Awesome, let me know how it goes, I see another egg has a chick that has pecked through, and several more rocking. The one that hatched for ever now called peepers wants out, I have the brooder ready and will soon transfer him or her over. Id rather there were a few more to place in at the same time. I know they can stay in the incubator for 48 hrs so I will wait.

OK now up to 11 just watched this one hatch, another one that hatched about 30 min ago is still absorbing egg yolk.
