(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new to chickens- just three weeks in. Growing up my mom did have chickens for a few years but I didn't help with them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have five hens and five four-week-old chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
The hens are some type of red breed, and as far as the chicks I think I have four of the five figured out but I could be wrong- black Cochin, buff Cochin, ameracauna, and buff polish
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I was googling "how to tell what breed baby chicks are" and I am sticking around because I like it here
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy photography and use a Canon 60D right now- if I upload photos here though some might be quick from the iPhone.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have three young boys, I stay at home, we enjoy a couple tractor shows around here in Upstate NY, John Deere tractors (my husband had a 720 diesel) county fairs and taking walks and bike rides together.
