Put together your coop? Did you buy a pre-fab? If you did I strongly recommend you return it and build a coop or convert a shed into a coop.
The prefab coops are ridiculously undersized for the number of birds they claim to house and all need a proper run attached unless your plan is to free range and you have a place they can go in bad weather. And when a predator finds them and keeps coming back for more.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
