... let me introduce myself.
My name is Andreas, I am 51 years old and I am living in Germany/Frankfurt am Main.
So please excuse my english sometimes, I am not a native english speaker.
I started raising quails two years ago and I am about to join a local breeders association, with a little homestead lot for me (450 sqm / 4850 sqft) within Frankfurt City, for raising chickens and other poultry.
This inspired me now to breed quails for special colors exepted by the german main breeders assasiation for exebitions (which are 5 color variations at the moment).
At the moment I have 16 Quails (2.14), in a few mixed colored groups. Most of them extended Browns/Tuxedos, a few Roux Dilute, a pair of Wildtype, a pair of Italians, one Gold Cinnamon and one kinda Snow Camo Colored ( I am not very common with the english names of the color variations).
I am waiting for my breeding eggs to start a new breed next week. Planded are wildtype, yellow wild (Italians) and silver wild (a greyish Italian type).
But already infected completly by the poultry love virus, ... I am already checking possible chicken races for next step on the assosiation homestead lot

I hope to find here much discussion and experience exchange.
The german quail community is not that social media active
Cheers
Andreas
