Hello for Raleigh NC

We are new to backyard chickens (the website as well as the hobby)

Used the site for coop/run design and completed it about a month ago.

We have 1 Buff, 2 RIRs, 2 Bard Rocks (sp?) and 1 Black sex-linked. However, one of the bard rocks looks like she is actually a he. So we will probably give him away (just in it for the eggs)

My wife and I also have 3 daughters and one peach-faced lovebird.

Curious to hear of anyone else from Raleigh especially with regard to local feed and supply sources without having to drive to an hour outside the city

Hi chofelt...Family Home & Garden over off of Hillsborough St. (I believe their address is Corporate Center Parkway, but you enter via Hillsborough) has pine shavings, wheat straw, Layena and Start and Grow. I also told them about Corid and recommended they start stocking it...I bought food and water containers there too.
