I've already made a post in the managing your flock section, but I was kind of jumping the gun! I want to make sure I have an introduction too!

My husband and I just bought 12 acres of property last year with the idea we wanted to start a hobby farm! I'm an ex-massage therapist who after a pretty serious injury turned all the information I learned about skin into soap making.

We have an eye on the prize of raising Yaks, but we love our chickens to death. We built a huge run and re-purposed an old big shed on the property into a nice big run and coop, and (with some problems) we've been trying to integrate old flocks and new flocks together. I've gotten so much great advice, and people care so much, I'm usually in tears from how kind everyone has been here!

And now.. Pictures!
