A bit of a shame really you didn't have better experiences. Things sort of iron out if with a couple of generations on the behaviour side and I love having roosters although I know the stress cockerels cause in unsuitable environments.

It was really, he was a nice bird ( Jersey Giant) until I introduced him to our flock and he started getting a bit aggressive. He was a very friendly chick! I`m sure he was just looking out for his girls. Maybe he would have mellowed out with time. My friend has him now does ok for him but he doesn`t interact with them much.
