Lord, if we keep starting new threads everytime someone jumps in here, this could get ridiculously big.

I'm a newbie, don't have any chickens yet, my wife isn't real keen on the idea - yet. I live in a town that doesn't allow farm animals within the city limits. We have property in another County that we plan on retiring to, so I was looking "down the road" at raising some chickens.

Hope it all pans out for all of us.

Thank you! My wife grew up raising chickens and just said, "You are on your own!" LOL She's a great wife, but really doesn't want an edible menagerie to take care of at our home. I hope she'll warm up to the idea, but I am not hanging my hopes on it.
