I would like to say hello all ! I live in north central Alabama just a tad north of where the Appalachian foothills start. My wife and I are back into chickens after a few years. We are really interested in heritage breeds. She and my daughter have 5, 1 week old Americauna chicks in the brooder. I am interested in getting some Delaware Blue Hens, true Dominickers, Dorkings, Brabanters and Old English Game bantams. I do not want all of these at once, but I would love to start with the Blue Hens and Dominickers.
I grew up raising Barred Rocks. In these parts all black speckled chickens are called Dominickers.
