I live in huntsville al, and even though my family lives in an suburb my heart is in the country. I've research the chicken ordinance and plan on getting permission from neighbors to start a flock of 3 hens for eggs. My life goal is to have soccer hobby farm including many chickens, garden, sheep and more. I'm excited to learn about everything chicken. Any info on how to approach neighbors and my how about permision will be appreciated. Thanks

Soccer farm was meant to be small hobby farm. And I'm hoping that by getting permission from neighbors that border my property and having a coop that is within the guidelines of the hoa ,while having only 3-4 hens. No roosters, I can have my first set of chickens. I'd like to start with 2 road Island reds, then every two years get new dominics so I can tell what birds are older and know when to cull. But it is all for not if the neighbors say no.
