Welcome to BYC and to raising birds in Alameda!! I grew up there and raised ducks, but had family friends with chickens. Got a little homesick reading your post earlier, but I think that it is good that there are still backyard birds in my hometown

I am curious to hear if there is an ordinance regarding roosters now because I do not think that there was when I was there (but, that was quite a while ago).
