Well hey! Happy to be here! I joined the community to learn more about raising chickens and quail. We are in Alaska and hope to be in a position sooner than later to help others with what has worked/not worked for us with our bird journeys!

We are focusing on silkies and coturnix quail for now. I will be posting on coop/natural habitat thoughts soon!

Are you in the warmer or colder regions of Alaska? That will make a big difference. Keeping Silkies will be a challenge. They don't have normal feathers and staying warm can be difficult for them. Good luck.
